Melee styles climb from free Combat through teacher buys into Superhuman, then Death Step, Sharkman Karate, Electric Claw, Dragon Talon, Godhuman, and Sanguine Art. Mastery stays when you switch. Read Beli, Fragments, and materials on the trainer card.

Unlock chains list
Each early style feeds a later upgrade. Four bases unlock Superhuman. Five upgraded styles unlock Godhuman. Sanguine Art is the separate Leviathan Heart path at Shafi.
- Dark Step → Death Step. Learn Dark Step early, grind to 400 mastery, clear the Library Key route, then buy Death Step from Phoeyu with Beli and Fragments.
- Electric → Electric Claw. Learn Electric, hit 400 mastery, finish Previous Hero's timed quest in Third Sea, then unlock Electric Claw.
- Water Kung Fu → Sharkman Karate. Learn Water Kung Fu, get Water Key from the Tide Keeper path, reach 400 mastery, then talk to Sharkman Teacher.
- Dragon Breath → Dragon Talon. Buy Dragon Breath with Fragments from Sabi, reach 400 mastery, bring Fire Essence to Uzoth for Dragon Talon.
- Four bases → Superhuman. 300 mastery on Dark Step, Electric, Water Kung Fu, and Dragon Breath unlocks Superhuman at Martial Arts Master.
- Five upgraded → Godhuman. 400 mastery on Superhuman, Death Step, Electric Claw, Sharkman Karate, and Dragon Talon, then Ancient Monk with materials and currencies.
- Leviathan Heart → Sanguine Art. Separate Third Sea path at Shafi. Leviathan Heart comes from the Frozen Dimension / Leviathan / Beast Hunter harpoon route.
Tips
- Mastery stays with the style. Switching styles does not wipe mastery. Dark Step progress still counts when you come back for Death Step.
- Buddha plus style grind. Buddha's transform hitbox helps Superhuman-line and Godhuman mastery farms clear more targets per swing.
- Trainer prices are the price list. Fragment and material costs change. Read the trainer NPC each visit instead of last month's number.
- Do not rush Godhuman broke. Godhuman needs five prior style masteries plus a large Fragment, Beli, and material bill. Finish main fruit awakens first if Fragments are tight. Skip questlines that invent islands. Follow the trainer prompt.
- Save materials early. Magma Ore, Fish Tail, Mystic Droplet, Dragon Scale, Vampire Fang, and Demonic Wisp block Godhuman or Sanguine Art if you sold them as junk.

What fighting style should I unlock first?
Stay on Combat until you can afford Dark Step or Electric, then push toward Superhuman in Second Sea. Endgame aims for Godhuman or Sanguine Art.
Do I need Godhuman to finish the game?
No. Fruits, swords, and mid-tier styles clear the seas. Godhuman and Sanguine Art are strong endgame options.
What mastery do I need for Superhuman?
300 mastery on Dark Step, Electric, Water Kung Fu, and Dragon Breath, plus the Beli cost on Martial Arts Master.
How do I unlock Godhuman?
Third Sea Ancient Monk after 400 mastery on Superhuman, Death Step, Sharkman Karate, Electric Claw, and Dragon Talon, then pay the listed Beli, Fragments, and materials. Read the NPC card.
Can I relearn Combat?
No. Combat is the starter style. Once another style replaces it, Combat cannot be relearned.
