Swords and guns are separate mastery tracks beside fruits and fighting styles. Route (shop, boss, craft, Robux) matters more than rarity. About 41 swords and 14 guns sit in normal player routes.

Key sword quests list
Saber Expert gates Instinct. TTK fuses three ~300-mastery Legendary Sword Dealer katanas. CDK needs Yama, Tushita, and Scroll Trials. Pole 2nd Form needs Rough Sea lightning.
- Saber. Finish the Saber Expert chain in First Sea Jungle, including the Saber fight. You get the Saber sword, and Instinct stays locked until this line is done.
- True Triple Katana (TTK). Buy Oroshi, Saishi, and Shizu from the Legendary Sword Dealer (2M Beli each), raise each to about 300 mastery, then pay the Mysterious Man 2M Beli to fuse them.
- Cursed Dual Katana (CDK). Earn Yama via Elite / Player Hunter quests, unlock Tushita by beating Longma after the puzzle, then clear Scroll Trials to combine into CDK.
- Pole (2nd Form). Hold Pole (1st Form) from Thunder God, sail Rough Sea, and get struck by lightning to upgrade to 2nd Form.
Tips
- Mastery is per weapon. Sword and gun mastery track separately from fruit and fighting style. Equip what you mean to level before a long farm.
- Route beats rarity. Saber is Legendary but First Sea progression. Dark Blade is Mythical but Robux / trade. Fishing Trophy and Pole 2nd Form are special-condition routes, not normal shops.
- Kabucha vs awakening Fragments. If you are mid-awakening a fruit, finish those Fragment spends before buying Kabucha.
- Rubber vs guns. Rubber fruit users are immune to gun damage even with Aura. Do not plan a gun-main fight into Rubber.
- Portal for sword errands. Portal fruit shortens trips for TTK parts, berry islands, and CDK puzzle stops. Switch back to your grind fruit when you settle into a farm.
- Blacksmith upgrades. Weapon upgrades need named materials (Scrap Metal, Leather, Magma Ore, and later rares). Count-only recipes without material names are not enough to plan a farm.
FAQ
Should I invest in guns early?
You can skip them. Fruit plus style plus one sword covers most of First Sea. Kabucha is a later Fragment buy.
Do swords work with Buddha?
Yes. Transformed Buddha plus a sword or style clears packed quest groups well.
What is the best beginner sword?
Cutlass or Katana, then Saber when you finish Saber Expert. Leave CDK and TTK for Second and Third Sea.
How do I get Saber?
Complete the Saber Expert quest line in First Sea Jungle (defeat Saber and finish the puzzle steps the game shows).
How do I get CDK or TTK?
TTK: three Legendary Sword Dealer katanas at ~300 mastery, then Mysterious Man. CDK: Yama plus Tushita, then Scroll Trials. See Key sword quests.
