Build A Ring Farm Weather Events

Five weather events with activation rates, per-roll mutation odds, effective proc estimates, and when to harvest for free Wet through Rainbow procs.

Weather activation rates, per-roll mutation odds, and harvest timing notes.

5 Events
2-Layer Rolls
5× Max Weather

Weather events are the strongest free income mechanic in Build A Ring Farm. Each event uses a two-step roll: the weather must activate, then each plant rolls separately for the linked mutation.

When weather is active, each plant receives one to three independent rolls for the linked mutation — one success does not reduce odds on other plants or rolls.

Autumn, Alien, Farm, and Honeycomb tie to separate world events — see mutations for shop sprays and event-only tags. This page covers Rain through Galaxy only.

Effective proc rates (single roll)

Multiply activation by per-roll chance for a rough per-plant estimate. Active weather also grants 1–3 rolls per plant, which raises the chance of at least one mutation.

Per-event strategy

RainMost common — keep crops planted and harvest when Wet procs. Ideal for early and mid farms.
BlizzardFrozen at 1.75× — worth holding epic-tier crops on Middle through the event window.
Black HoleVoid at 2.25× — more plots mean more independent rolls; expand before chasing Void.
NuclearRadioactive at 3× — prioritize Outer ring plants that finish growing during the event.
GalaxyRainbow at 5× — rarest weather; stack with Outer (19×) for peak single-harvest value.

Independent rolls on large farms

During Black Hole (12% activation, 3% per roll), twenty plants each roll independently — P(at least one Void) ≈ 1 − (0.97)²⁰ ≈ 45.6%. More plots mean more rolls and higher expected mutation income per event window.

The same math applies to Rain and Galaxy: never assume one failed proc means the event was wasted. Keep every plot planted before weather starts, then harvest ready crops on Outer and Middle first.

Harvest timing checklist

  • Before weather: fill all plots; move slow high-value seeds to Outer if not already there.
  • During weather: harvest ready crops on highest ring tier first.
  • After weather: replant immediately — idle plots earn nothing during the next activation window.
  • Pair frequent Rain with short grow-time Inner crops; pair Galaxy with transcended plants that finish on Outer.

FAQ

How do weather events apply mutations?

Each event must activate first, then every planted crop rolls independently for the linked mutation. One plant mutating does not change odds for others on the same farm.

What is the effective Wet rate during Rain?

Rain activates about 40% of the time; each plant gets 1–3 rolls at 8% for Wet per roll. A single-roll estimate is roughly 3.2% (0.40 × 0.08); multiple rolls per plant raise the chance of at least one Wet proc.

Should I harvest during every event?

Harvest whenever crops are ready during an active event — even 1.5× Wet beats none. Save large pushes for Nuclear and Galaxy when Outer plots hold high base-income seeds.

Do weather mutations stack with ring multipliers?

Yes. Harvest value uses base crop value × mutation multiplier × ring multiplier × quantity. Galaxy Rainbow on Outer can reach 95× before seed level bonuses.

Which world events are not weather?

Autumn, Alien, and Honeycomb mutations come from Mega Farm, UFO, and Bee Swarm — not from this weather table. See the mutations page for those triggers.

Why does Galaxy feel so rare?

Galaxy activates about 4% of the time with 1% per roll — roughly 0.04% effective per single roll, about 80× rarer than Rain + Wet. Plan long-grow Outer crops, not quick Inner turnover.

Game balance may change after updates. Values marked Unknown are not yet confirmed in-game. Redeem codes and harvest once to confirm rewards after each patch.
