What mutations do
Mutations add a fixed damage multiplier to a unit and raise its placement cost. Each fighter can have only one mutation, separate from its trait.
How to get mutations
Normal rerolls
Gold and Diamond can drop anytime you reroll a unit on the summon banner — no event required.
Hourly events
Dragonborn, Beast, and Arrancar only roll during scheduled windows each hour:
- XX:15 — Dragonborn
- XX:30 — Beast
- XX:45 — Arrancar
Titan mutation
Titan rolls on a separate timer — every 15 minutes in each server. Reroll during those windows for a chance at the 5x damage multiplier.
Admin and Nen mutations
Admin only appears during developer Admin Abuse events. Nen triggers after feeding the Buhara NPC during the Hunter Exam event. Both give 6.5x damage — the highest multipliers in the game — but cannot be farmed on the hourly rotation.
Clone Machine
Except for Admin, mutated fighters can be duplicated with the Clone Machine. Use it to copy strong rolls without rerolling during event windows.

What to chase by stage
- Early game: Gold / Diamond — Fine for early waves
- Mid game: Dragonborn / Beast — Worth rolling during event windows
- Late game: Arrancar / Titan — Arrancar at :45 each hour; Titan rolls every 15 minutes
- Admin / Nen: strongest multipliers (6.5x), event-only — not part of the hourly rotation
FAQ
When do mutation events happen?
Every hour at :15 (Dragonborn), :30 (Beast), and :45 (Arrancar). Titan rolls every 15 minutes on a separate timer. Reroll during those windows for a chance at the matching mutation.
Can I guarantee a mutation during an event?
No. Events raise the odds but rolls are still random.
Can a unit have more than one mutation?
No — one mutation per unit. Mutations do stack with a separate trait roll on the same fighter.
What is the best mutation?
Admin and Nen both give 6.5x damage — the highest multipliers in the game. Admin only drops during Admin Abuse events; Nen triggers after feeding the Buhara NPC during the Hunter Exam event. Arrancar is the best mutation you can farm on the hourly schedule.
Can mutated units be duplicated?
Yes. Except for Admin, all mutated fighters can be duplicated with the Clone Machine.
Multipliers and event times match current in-game behavior. Balance patches or schedule changes may shift values — pair mutations with the right unit tier for the biggest gains.
