About the endings

Spoilers below. There are 12 endings. What you photograph decides which one you get.

You are a park photographer. What you shoot becomes the TV news, and the crowd copies that mood. Keep feeding one kind of story and the run ends on one of the 12 endings.

Unlocked endings show up in the collection menu. Chase one subject per run, then restart when you want a different ending. Mixing hate, smiles, empty shots, and TV spam in the same run usually muddies the result.

Quick fork

Hat vs Eyes Closed at full hate, and the Good Ending kindness path after Square saves lovers.

  • After the park reaches Everyone hates everyone: photograph Hatman for Hat Ending, or leave him alone for Eyes Closed Ending.
  • When hate is only starting, shoot Square saves lovers, then stay on kind moments only for Good Ending.

1. Viral Ending

The news found its story and the park paid for it.

Story

Viral Ending Polaroid card from Say Cheese!

Viral is the full fear-and-hate news ladder. Shoot what is happening right now so each photo upgrades the park TV headline. Random park snaps will not climb the chain.

A common climb looks like this. Early hat chatter is optional. A couple shot can turn into Gross. Go get a room. Catch a crazed square mid-attack or mid-yell for Gray/Craze square attacks. Photograph the frightened circle for Circle fears squares. Shoot squares cold-shouldering circles for Squares snub circles. Then get mutual yelling for Circles hate squares. Keep shooting hate through Almost everyone hates everyone until Everyone hates everyone. Later screens can push Be scared. Be angry. before the ending fires.

Stay on the escalating conflict until the park is at full hate. If you switch to kindness, empty grass, or Hatman at that peak, you get another ending.

2. Cricket Ending

The only celebrity who never did anything wrong.

Easy

Cricket Ending Polaroid card from Say Cheese!

Cricket is the easiest detour. At the start, look in the grass for the small cricket, then click it or photograph it. Make the cricket the only story for that run.

Get the cricket into the news before you start hate, smiles, empty frames, or the TV. Keep the run short and cricket-focused.

3. TV Ending

You looked so deep into the TV that it looked back.

Easy

TV Ending Polaroid card from Say Cheese!

Aim at the central park television and keep photographing the screen. Headlines move through The TV is on TV, The news is the news, TV and a TV and a TV / Only one of us is real, then the signal is fading.

Your boss will push you to photograph people instead. Ignore that and stay on the TV.

Keep shooting the TV until the ending. If people shots pull the crowd onto a human story, restart and stay on the screen.

4. Breaking News Ending

When the news ran out, the station made its own.

Easy

Breaking News Ending Polaroid card from Say Cheese!

Photograph empty grass or blank scenery, basically nothing. The game calls this out with lines like WOWWEE IT'S NOTHING and confirms Nothing. Five times. After the fifth empty shot, the station invents its own story, including photographer-on-TV headlines.

You need five empty frames in the same run. If people or big animations walk into the shot, wait for a clear nothing beat or restart. Skip cricket, TV spam, and hate shots on this attempt.

5. Reverse Ending

They turned the camera around and made you the story.

Mid

Reverse Ending Polaroid card from Say Cheese!

Reverse turns the camera onto you. Wait until parkgoers gather and stare at your lens. The red headline They are watching you (or Why do you keep taking our picture?) is the cue. Keep shooting while they close in. Lines like They are closer. can show up before the ending They turned the camera around and made you the story.

Your boss may tell you to ignore them. Keep photographing the watching crowd anyway.

Wait for the watching-you headline, then keep shooting as the crowd presses in. Use that on-screen cue. Do not stop to count people in the frame.

6. Scared Ending

Nobody knew who to fear so they feared everyone.

Mid

Scared Ending Polaroid card from Say Cheese!

Let a little conflict start so fear is on screen. Hat or attack beats show up early. Then lock onto the frightened circle and keep photographing that subject. The boss will tell you to stop filming the scared circle. Keep shooting fear anyway. Headlines move toward Be afraid of everyone / Stay afraid before the ending Nobody knew who to fear so they feared everyone.

Make the scared circle your main subject. Keep shooting fear, not a fixed shot count. If you switch to full hate, the peace march, or kindness, you leave this route.

7. Good Ending

The station went dark and the park stayed kind.

Story

Good Ending Polaroid card from Say Cheese!

Good Ending keeps the park kind after hate has only just begun. Early Oh, nice hat chatter is fine. After another shot you may hear Hats aren't cool anymore. Wait for a crazed square attack beat and Circle fears squares, then catch Square saves lovers: a square helping a couple.

From that point, photograph only friendly moments: doors held open, compliments, sharing a bench, strangers saying hello. When the boss demands fight shots or admits paying someone to stir things up, refuse conflict shots. You can ignore a dedicated screamer if kindness is still on the TV. The station can go off air (We're off air). You may get a prompt to take a last photo before the ending.

Square saves lovers is the turn. After that, stay on kindness only. Shooting a fight after the save usually kills the route. Do not push all the way to Everyone hates everyone. That peak is for Hat, Eyes Closed, or Viral instead.

8. Peace Ending

The march took the station and aired the park as it really was.

Mid

Peace Ending Polaroid card from Say Cheese!

Raise some hate first so protesters can spawn. If the park stays calm, the march may never show. Once protesters appear, photograph them again and again. The boss will warn you to stop (Last warning style lines). Keep shooting the march. Headlines climb Peace is trending → Peace March grows → More peeps Join March. Each photo helps the march grow.

Shoot the protest after hate is high enough for a march, then stay on the march until it takes over. Switching back to pure violence or Hatman can send you into Viral, Hat, or Eyes Closed.

9. Hat Ending

Someone finally noticed the hat man in time.

Story

Hat Ending Polaroid card from Say Cheese!

Push the park to Everyone hates everyone first. That is the same peak used for Eyes Closed. When Hatman appears (often with a heart-style hat), photograph him right away. Headlines move through Who is this hatman? and Hats are back, baby. Later love-hat chatter can show up. Keep hat subjects in frame even if the boss complains.

You need the full-hate peak, then a clear focus on Hatman and hats. This is the opposite of Eyes Closed. If your camera never locks onto Hatman at that moment, you get Eyes Closed instead.

10. Eyes Closed Ending

You stopped watching and the panic had nowhere left to go.

Story

Eyes Closed Ending Polaroid card from Say Cheese!

Take the same path to Everyone hates everyone. When Hatman returns, keep your camera off him. Do not put the hat figure in the viewfinder. Let the panic sit without a new hat story until the ending You stopped watching and the panic had nowhere left to go.

You need the full-hate peak, then no shots of Hatman. Same fork as Hat Ending: photograph him for Hat, leave him alone for Eyes Closed. You do not need to freeze every other shot. Just refuse the Hatman subject that opens the hat branch.

11. Say Cheese Ending

Everyone wanted to be in the picture. Only one of them fit.

Mid

Say Cheese Ending Polaroid card from Say Cheese!

Photograph smiling parkgoers and say-cheese poses. Headlines climb Why is everyone smiling? → Everyone say cheese → The happiest park on earth. Skip hat trend shots and fight shots so the TV stays on smiles.

Keep smile and say-cheese subjects going until the ending. Stick to the smiling line and restart if hate or hats take over the TV.

12. Follow the Money Ending

The park stopped watching the news and started watching the newsroom.

Story

Follow the Money Ending Polaroid card from Say Cheese!

Watch for the suited square: sunglasses, money bag, sometimes near early cricket scenery. Photograph that figure and stay on the investigation. The key headline is Who paid the screamer?, then a chain such as Man in suit spotted → The money is real → Suit linked to station → Photographer, you're fired → The station pays for all of it. The ending has the park watching the newsroom.

Keep the suited money-bag / screamer-pay story as the main subject. Get the suit-and-bag into the news and follow that investigation. If you drop the suit for a long hate or smile ladder, restart and lock back onto the money subject.

Tips

Stay on one subject. For Reverse, Scared, and Say Cheese, follow the on-screen cues.

  • Chase one subject per run. Mixing hate, smiles, empty shots, and TV spam in the same session muddies the route.
  • For Reverse, wait for They are watching you, then keep shooting. Watch the on-screen cue, not a people count.
  • For Scared and Say Cheese, stay on fear or smile shots until the ending fires.
  • Breaking News needs five empty nothings. Viral needs the full hate ladder. Hat and Eyes Closed share the full-hate peak and split on Hatman.
  • Pause and check the collection menu to see which endings you already unlocked.
