How to play: beginner guide
First session: Easy lobby, stay dry, throw pebbles, revive teammates with E.

First session
Clear Easy alone first. Learn to stay dry, throw pebbles, and finish both valves before you add friends or Hard difficulty.
In the lobby pick Easy and set size to 1 so you learn jumps without collision. Scan the tile platforms above the water and plan a short path. Do not sprint into gaps you have not checked.
Any splash calls the entity, and water slows you. If you fall in, climb out right away or you get grabbed. Walk into gray stone clusters for pebbles, then throw into water away from your next jump so the entity leaves your lane.
Light pads sink under you. Dark-border pads stay put. Cross sinking rooms in one go. In the maintenance room, Hold E on both valve wheels, then race the exit before the timed hazard ends.
Controls that matter
Four inputs cover most runs. Jump only onto clear landings, hotbar 1-7 selects pebbles or equipment (press again to put away), Hold E fills the valve progress ring, and E on a downed teammate starts a revive or Rescue Rope pull.
| Input | Action |
|---|---|
| Move / Jump | Normal Roblox movement. Jump only when you see a clear landing. |
| Number keys / hotbar | Select pebbles or equipment. Press again to put away. Click (PC) or THROW (mobile) to toss. |
| E (hold) | Open maintenance valves. Stay in range until the progress ring fills. |
| E on teammate | Revive or pull a downed teammate. Rescue Rope reaches farther (once per room). |
Stay undetected
A splash starts the chase. Do not jump the entity. Land in the center of pads.
If you splash, move right away. The entity runs to that point, and standing still after a splash ends early clears. Do not jump over it. The hitbox can grab you mid-air, so treat it as a wall.
On tight landings, turn sideways for a wider foot plant when a straight jump clips the edge. One pixel of water still counts as a splash, so aim for the center of pads.
Co-op basics
Collision can kill you. Stagger jumps and decide who throws the lure.
Collision is on, so teammates can shove you into the water. Stagger jumps on narrow ledges. Press E on a downed body to revive. Without Rescue Rope, range is short. Share pebble duty: one player lures while another crosses, and do not throw onto the pad your teammate is about to land on.
Common mistakes
Standing on sinking pads and opening one valve then waiting end most early clears.
Standing still on sinking pads drops you into the water. Throwing pebbles at your feet only calls the entity onto your route. Opening one valve and waiting fails the exit, because the second valve starts the timer and you need to leave immediately. Spam jumping near edges can push you back or clip water, so settle, then jump once.

FAQ
Which difficulty should I start on?
Easy with size 1. Learn splash rules and pebble timing before Normal or Hard/Nightmare.
Can the monster see my avatar?
No. It is blind and tracks splash sound only. Dry platforms hide you.
How do pebbles work?
Pick them up from gray stone piles, select them on the hotbar, and throw into water. Each hit makes splash noise that pulls the entity to that spot. Base pebbles make 3 small splashes. Upgrades add more.
How do I revive a teammate?
Press E on their body. Unlock Rescue Rope (250 Coins) for longer pulls once per room. Buy Rescue Speed if co-op revives keep failing.
