How to Get Mutations

In Kick a Lucky Block, Mutations are rare, elite versions of your Brain Roots. They feature unique visual effects (like Plasma or Radioactive glows) and provide massive boosts to your coin production. Here is how you can get them:

1. Aim for High-Tier Zones

The quality of your drop depends entirely on how far you kick the block.

• Power Matters: Accumulate enough Kick Power to reach the Legendary, Mythic, or Godly zones.
• The Perfect Kick: Timing your kick to hit the "Perfect" mark on the power bar is essential to landing in these high-rarity zones, which have a much higher base chance to drop mutated items.

2. Boost Your Luck with Gamepasses

If you want to skip the grind and hunt for Mutations seriously, the shop offers specific boosters:

• Mutation Luck: Purchasing the "Mutation Luck" gamepass is the most direct way to increase your odds of a Mutation appearing when a block lands.
• Server Luck: You can also buy "Server Luck" to give everyone in the lobby (including yourself) a temporary luck buff for rare drops.

3. Survival is Mandatory

This is the most important part: You only get the item if you survive.

• Even if you kick a "Godly Mutation," if the Tsunami catches you before you reach the starting line, the item is lost forever.
• Pro Tip: Invest in your Speed attribute so you can actually bring those rare mutations back to your base.

5. Weather Machine (Update 3)

Sacrifice Brainrots at the Weather Machine in the spawn area to trigger 10-minute weather events with boosted Lucky Block variants (Witch 18%, Bacon 6%, etc.). This replaced the old Virus Machine — see the full drop table in our Update 3 guide.

6. Volcano Event (Update 5)

Every 2 hours on the hour, the server runs a 10-minute Volcano Event. Spend 20 Volcanic Orbs at the NPC behind the Volcano Shop to unlock the Volcanic Mutation, then kick blocks during the window for a random Volcanic roll. Farming steps: Update 5 Volcano guide.

7. Astral & Phantom (Update 4)

• Astral: Permanent high-tier mutation from the Eternal Zone (5B+ Kick Power). Stronger than Rainbow on paper.
• Phantom: Event-only — Phantom Weather gives a flat 3% chance per kick to spawn a Phantom Lucky Block.

8. Random Robux Draws

• For players looking for a shortcut, you can spend Robux in the shop to pull random Brain Roots. While still luck-based, having the Mutation Luck pass active will significantly improve your results from these draws.

Summary: Stack zone distance + luck for Gold→Rainbow, layer Weather and Volcano events for exclusive variants, then push Eternal/Phantom once you outgrow OG. Survival still wins every path.
