How to make money fast

Selling, crafting, and early economy.

Introduction

Gold pays for pickaxes, upgrades, enchantments, and potions. Raw ore sales are slow; some rocks barely cover a few coins after a long session. The faster loops are essence sales, quest payouts, and forging heavy gear to sell.

1. Farm and sell essence

Kill enemies, bank the essence they drop, then sell it. This works well if you want income while AFK.

Tip

Essence has no stash cap. Park at a spawn, leave an auto-clicker running if your rules allow it, and sell the pile when you return.

Pick a dense spawn, hold the spot, then sell at the shop when you have enough.

2. Complete quests

Quests pay early gold and unlocks. Many players skip them and sit on free cash.

Priority: Portal Tool

Finish the Portal Tool quest early. It opens Forgotten Kingdom travel and pays XP plus gold in one run.

Other early quests

Also clear quests from Masked Strange, Malik, Isaac, Amber, and Bard's Guitar. They pay quickly and need little grinding, which helps fund your first upgrades.

Recurring NPC tasks

Three NPCs in Forgotten Kingdom and two more in the Stonewake's Cross cave hand out repeat jobs: mine a listed ore or kill a listed enemy. Turn them in for steady gold each cycle.

3. Forge heavy gear, then sell

Selling heavy weapons and armor pays more than quests when you play actively. Craft the high-sale classes, not light junk.

Step 1: Get a pickaxe

Get Stonewake's Pickaxe early. Redeem active codes for free totems when you can.

Step 2: Farm materials

At the Ruined Cave entrance, plant totems, drink a mine potion, and break Basalt Rocks. That loop fills uncommon and rare stocks for craft-and-sell runs.

Skip high-HP rocks. They take longer and drop the same ore types. Stack uncommon and rare ores instead.

Step 3: Craft what sells

With uncommon and rare ores ready, forge:

Weapons: forge Battle Axe class or higher. Colossal sells best; lower classes pay poorly for the same grind. Armor: for chestplates, keep adding the same ore until the bar shows medium or heavy. Those sell for more with the same forge time.

Tip: Dwarf or Goblin from a race reroll helps money runs (mining or shop discount bonuses).

FAQ

What should I forge for the highest profit?

Heavy chestplates and high-class weapons such as Battle Axes or Colossal pieces. They use the same ore types as cheaper items but sell for more.

Are rare ores better for money than legendary ones?

For steady income, uncommon and rare ores usually win. You gather them faster. Legendary ores drop slowly and can slow your gold per hour. Keep legendaries for builds; sell the bulk commons through uncommon/rare crafts.

Which method is the fastest?

Essence farming fits AFK. Quests fit early game. Forge and sell fits active play. Switch based on how long you can stay at the keyboard.

Wrap-up

Use essence when you AFK, quests for early gold and unlocks, and forge-sell when you are online. Skip low-sale crafts when a heavier recipe is available.
