Build A Ring Farm Update 5 Guide: Best Seeds, Pets & AFK Strategy

I. Update 5 overview

Update 5 ships a Carnival theme map, the Corrupted Seed Pack (16 new plants), a Carnival Pass, and a settings VFX toggle to reduce overheating on mobile during long sessions.

Below: priority seeds after the economy shift, recommended pet loadouts, and AFK mutation routes that pair luck pets with Hydra or Starfall Griffin.

II. Carnival event and map mini-games

Carnival runs on server-wide Admin Events. Watch for these if you are farming Carnival Tokens and Prize Tickets.

• Whack-a-Crop (Wacka Crop): Targets spawn across the map — use Auto Clicker if you have it. Every 3 hits awards 1 Carnival Token and can trigger map-wide 2× Cash or Grow Speed boosts.
• Jester Boss / Clown event: Starts from a server vote. Defeat the Jester Boss together; Gift Boxes drop fertilizers, sprays, and rare materials.
• Carnival Packs: Spend saved tokens at the event zone — Carnival Packs cost 100 tokens each and are the main gacha route for top-tier Carnival seeds.

III. Seed tier list (Update 5)

Corrupted Pack and Carnival exclusives shifted late-game planting. Legendary and below crops fall off Outer plots once you can sustain Transcended lines. Compare income in the seeds database.

IV. Pet loadouts and AFK mutations

Late income scales in two phases: roll Transcended seeds with luck pets, then upgrade mutations on your main floor while AFK. Rankings and egg costs live on the pets tier list.

Recommended pets

• Kitsune (Robux): 64% chance every 5 minutes to upgrade a plot mutation toward top-tier forms (Cosmic or Fire).
• Hydra (F2P Secret): Same 64% mutation upgrade chance as Kitsune on a 10-minute cooldown, plus a strong raw cash boost. Hatch from Epic Eggs (Purple Eggs) — a direct step up from Mammoth for mutation farming.
• Mammoth (starter upgrade pet): 54% chance every 10 minutes to upgrade plants; also from Purple Eggs.
• Gummy Gator: Gummy Bundle pet — 15% chance every 180 seconds to drop map-wide Prismatic Fertilizer (+15% grow speed for 25 seconds).
• Capybara: Seed-luck pet for your rolling floor — stack multiples when you need to restock high-tier seeds.

Two-step Fire and Starfall AFK loop

Skip expensive Gear Shop sprays when sold out. For AFK pet upgrades, Fire (10×) is the ceiling most farms chase; Eclipse (12×) is the cash spray ceiling. Starfall remains the stacking alternative via Starfall Griffin.

1. Seed farm: Equip Capybaras on your rolling floor. One maxed Capybara adds about +59% Seed Luck; stacking several pushes total luck well over +500% for Transcended roller pulls.
2. Plant on main floor: Move to a late-game base (e.g. Steampunk Base). Plant new Transcended seeds on Outer rings. Apply any cheap spray (Frozen works) so each crop has a base mutation to upgrade.
3. AFK incubation: Swap Capybaras for Hydras (or Starfall Griffins for Starfall procs). While AFK, pets roll upgrades into Cosmic or Fire on your highest-earning floor.

V. Fast cash tactics

• Super Fertilizer recycling: Super Fertilizer grants a flat 6× earning multiplier for 15 minutes. Run the Composter on a short timer and dump junk seeds instead of buying fertilizer with Robux.
• Soil Quality on top floors: When the last two floors unlock, max Soil Quality first for about a flat 50% cash bonus, then keep Saw Yield and Sprinkler Power aligned on that floor.
• Recurring events:
  • Bee / Honey event: Roughly hourly — deposit 5 honeycombs for a Time Skip (large instant payout).
  • Admin Abuse: Often 2–3 times per week after patches — free Transcended seeds, cash drops, and Super Luck. See the events page for countdowns.

VI. Warnings and skips

• Disco Pack: Early builds had a purchase bug; even when it works, Disco Base lists ~10% cash boost while free endgame bases sit around ~8% — a small gain for heavy Robux. Prefer Extra Pet Slot or the Dinosaur (time-skip pet) if you spend.
• Admin Mutation: Event procs are only 5× — same band as basic Rainbow, below Cosmic or Fire. Do not replace existing Rainbow or Cosmic lines; clear low-tier hits with Acid Spray.
• Contracts: Long missions for low payouts — safe to ignore while pushing Carnival or Outer layouts.
• Full inventory: Feed junk into the Composter first for Super Fertilizer. If the composter is on cooldown and space is still tight, use the Selling Area Discard Seeds zone.
• Performance: Toggle off VFX in Settings if the Carnival map lags during AFK.
