Abilities: Choose and Fuse Specials
Combat specials stay on the hen that hatched with them. Hatch the donor, then Lock the skill onto the fighter you want to keep.

A special fills the combat meter and fires in Pit or Tower. It stays on the hen that hatched with it until you Lock it onto another bird in fuse. Weak donors stay on the shelf until then.

Named specials
Names and donors first. Exact timings still need a live fight.
Chase
Farm the donor egg, then move the skill. Check the name in Flock before you fuse.

How to lock a special
- Pick a base and a donor. Base is the fighter you want to keep. Donor is the hen that hatched with the special. Doll, Radiant Fenghuang, and Phoenix stay on the shelf until Lock is on a real fighter.
- Lock the special. Open Fuse, put both birds in, then click the donor special so Lock is on. Egg-type Lock is a different field. If you need both, lock the one you cannot replace, then read the preview.
- Abort a weak preview. If the result looks worse than the base, cancel. Unlocked fuses can drop the skill you wanted.
Fuse pairings
Use the base you already hatched. Reaper wants Voodoo. 404 and Nebula want Cycle of Ash.
Reaper + Voodoo
Base: Reaper Rooster (Haunt)
Lock: Voodoo from Doll Hen
Same Haunt line as the donor. Blazing can also roll Haunt hens while Hot is up.
404 + Cycle of Ash
Base: 404 Chick (Cursed)
Lock: Cycle of Ash from Radiant Fenghuang
Base is Cursed. Donor is Royal. You will run two egg lines unless fusion already mixed them.
Nebula + Cycle of Ash
Base: Nebula Hen (Void)

Void hatch. Check Index on Nebula before you dump feed into it.
Pick by fight
Pit
Voodoo or Za Warudo if the other bird hits first.
Tower
Cycle of Ash or the Rebirth skill when floors run long. Ride of the Fallen if the bird keeps dying.
First hours
Za Warudo on Baron or Titan Mode on Founder is enough. Do not sit on Nest waiting for Haunt.
Where the donors hatch
Farm steps stay on Eggs. This is which line holds the donor.
- Haunt donors: Doll Hen for Voodoo, Vampire Rooster for Blood Draw. Scratch → Arena → Creepy Clown → Haunt, then Zombie Chick for the grind. Full layer order is on Eggs.
- Royal donors: Radiant Fenghuang for Cycle of Ash, Phoenix Hen for the Rebirth skill, Valkyrie Hen for Ride of the Fallen, Twin Rooster for Split Image. Founder or Crest opens Royal. Radiant is a rare hatch, so keep laying.
- Fortune and Founder: Baron Cluck or Golden Goose for Za Warudo. Founder Rooster for Titan Mode. Same Thunder fork as Royal. Check Fertility Gene before you fuse Founder away.
Rebirth skill vs rebirth
Phoenix Hen's special is a once-per-fight revive. The rebirth button on the Tower panel spends leftover Cash, resets the run, and keeps your flock plus permanent bonuses. Do not fuse away Phoenix because you already pressed rebirth.
FAQ
What is the best special?
Depends on the fight. Voodoo and Cycle of Ash are the ones worth farming a donor for. Za Warudo or Titan Mode until you have that hen.
How do I get Voodoo?
Hatch Doll Hen from Haunt, then Lock Voodoo onto the base you want to keep. Haunt farm is Scratch → Arena → Creepy Clown. Blazing can roll the same hens while Hot is up.
Does fuse move the special?
Yes, if you Lock the donor skill in the fuse menu. Skip Lock and the result can keep a different special. Egg-type Lock is separate. Abort if the preview looks worse than your base.
Is the Rebirth skill the same as rebirth?
No. The Phoenix special revives the bird once in a fight. The rebirth button resets Cash, level, and Coop progress for permanent bonuses. Your flock stays.
Should I fuse Doll or Radiant as the fighter?
Keep them until you Lock their skill onto a stronger base, then check the preview.
Do I need Haunt before I can fight?
No. Baron Cluck on Fortune and Founder on the Royal / Fortune fork cover early Pit and Tower. Farm Haunt or Royal when you are ready to chase a named special.
