In-game this reset layer is called Evolution in the Void menu — not the same as Evolution (rebirth) at $77 Sextillion, which grants Alien Investors. Void Evolution unlocks at the Purple Portal and grants permanent 42× global speed per tier.

What void evolution gives

The primordial void offers a second prestige path: evolve your fruit for stacked income speed. Clearing both sewer key routes speeds up the grind — the vine pays instant cash on a four-hour timer, and the UFO Key doubles per-investor earnings. See the secrets guide before pushing toward the portal.

Finding the Void Portal

The full-sized Void Portal sits between Lemon Dash and Lemon Depot, directly behind Joe the Alien (the rebirth NPC). A miniature portal appears earlier and grows as your total investor count climbs toward 500 Quadrillion.

Walk through the portal to enter the Void — a purple space-like arena with floating rocks. Parkour across them to reach the Void Altar, the only interactable object. The altar unlocks the Evolution menu on your first visit. Leave by returning through the portal, using Teleport to any income source, jumping into the void, or resetting your avatar.

Unlock requirement

The portal becomes usable once your total investor count reaches 500 Quadrillion — including investors you hold, investors already spent on powers, and investors you would gain on your next rebirth. Pressing Evolve for the first time typically requires about 501.2 Quadrillion total investors.

Evolution menu

After your first Void Altar interaction, the Void Evolution menu stays on the right side of the HUD (below the rebirth menu). It shows your current fruit and evolution number, the 42× speed gain per evolution, a silhouette of the next fruit, and progress toward the next tier as a percentage.

Progress counts every investor you have spent, currently hold, and would receive on rebirth across the whole void cycle. At 100% you can preview and confirm the next fruit. Evolving above 100% progress grants bonus investors that survive the void reset — the more “over-ready” you are, the larger that carry-over batch.

Per-evolution rewards

  • A permanent 42× income speed boost that multiplies with every prior void evolution: 1 = 42×, 2 = 42×42, 3 = 42×42×42, and so on
  • Your primary fruit upgrades to the next tier — oranges first, then lime, grapefruit, and higher-value fruits through Purity
  • Optional: spend 160 Robux to evolve without meeting the investor threshold for that tier

What void evolution resets

Each void evolution clears the same building progress as rebirth, but stacked 42× speed persists until you ascend:

KeptCleared
  • Stacked 42× void multipliers (until Ascension)
  • Alien Investor % bonus rate per investor
  • Labs upgrades marked permanent
  • Sewer Key, UFO Key, and badge progress
  • Forever Purchase tokens on locked upgrades
  • Space Staircase buttons and upgrades
  • Robux purchases (Speed Up Time, paid rebirth buildings, etc.)
  • Bonus investors earned above 100% void progress
  • Current investor count (back to 0, except carry-over bonus)
  • Investor-bought powers (Manage, Expert Picker, etc.)
  • All buildings, vehicles, and skyscraper floors
  • Current run cash balance

Ascension wipes void evolution stacks entirely — fruit returns to basic lemons and oranges become unavailable until you void-evolve again.

When to void evolve

  • Default: evolve as soon as you hit 100% progress — the 42× speed boost usually outweighs finishing the current run
  • Staircase exception: if you are close to affording a Space Staircase button that boosts income, delay void evolution until you buy it — staircase upgrades survive void resets
  • High-ascension accounts: with multiple ascensions and strong Forever Purchases, chaining ordinary rebirths for more staircase buttons can beat evolving immediately, since rebirth does not reset total investor count

Fruit tiers and investor thresholds

Each row is the total investor count needed to press Evolve for that fruit. Speed multipliers compound with every prior void evolution.

After Purity, the chain loops — Lemon+1, Lemon+2, and so on — with investor thresholds scaling roughly as 10^(17.7 + 13.6(n−1)) per evolution number n.

Late-game income after many void evolutions

With stacked 42× void multipliers, late-game runs often skip straight to Lemon Robotics on a fresh run, then backfill Lemon Stand through Republic with investor cash in seconds. See the income sources guide for the full late-game priority.
