Sell Lemons Income Sources Guide
How all eight income tiers stack multiplicatively, manager hire order, 100% offline earnings, Lemon Dash phone deals, and when to rush Robotics or Lemon X.

How income stacks
Sell Lemons has eight income sources that multiply together — they do not replace each other. Higher tiers need the base cash from Lemon Stand, Lemon Dash, and Lemon Depot to reach their full value. Even in endgame, neglecting lower tiers leaves money on the table because Republic and Lemon X multipliers apply to everything below them.
Our buildings guide lists five map areas in unlock order (stand → dash → depot → mountain HQ → space). Community guides often split the mountain skyscraper into four separate income tiers — both views describe the same buildings.
8 income tiers at a glance
Strategy notes below; prices and upgrade lists live on Infrastructure.
| # | Source | Phase | Maps to |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1–3 | Stand, Dash, Depot | Early–mid | Infrastructure Tiers 1–3 |
| 4–7 | Trading, Labs, Republic, Robotics | Mid–late | Hill skyscraper floors 1–4 |
| 8 | Lemon X | Endgame | Launchpad & space station |
1. Lemon Stand
Early game
- Buy the Juicer before any cosmetic — it is the best early ROI in the game.
- Hire Lily Gumdrop (stand automator) as soon as you can afford it.
- Walk over ground cash; it is a large share of income before automation.
- After rebirth, re-buy Juicer and Lily Gumdrop in the first minute of the run.
2. Lemon Dash
Early–mid game
- Reply YES to the phone text for an instant $83,000 bonus when it unlocks.
- Max delivery fees and vehicle speed before cosmetic bike skins.
- Hire the Lemon Dash Manager only after per-delivery payouts are already high.
- Counter-offer haggling NPCs — the first offer is never the best price.
3. Lemon Depot
Mid game
- Buy roof, walls, and lights — many upgrade buttons stay hidden until you do.
- Walk the factory after every decoration purchase to find new buttons.
- Max per-click cash and depot multipliers before hiring the Depot Manager.
- Follow in-game hint arrows; concealed buttons are easy to miss.
4. Lemon Trading
Mid–late game
- Hill Floor 1 (Trading Center) — treat this like a stock mini-game.
- Practice with small bets; one bad trade can erase 30+ minutes of progress.
- Never invest your entire run balance — keep liquid reserves for upgrades.
- Hire the Trading Manager only after you understand the price cycle.
5. Lemon Labs
Late game
- Hill Floor 2 (Financial Center) — upgrades marked permanent survive Evolution (rebirth).
- Prioritize permanent research over one-run boosts — they compound across every future run.
- Strong permanent Labs upgrades are a reason to delay your next Evolution and finish research first.
- Ride the elevator and sweep every floor after major purchases.
- Time-skip boosts pair well with active investor bonus windows.
6. Lemon Republic
Late game
- Hill Floor 3 (Monopoly Center) — global multipliers on all lower tiers.
- In late runs, Republic upgrades amplify income from every other source.
- Political sovereignty upgrades stack with rebirth and void multipliers.
7. Lemon Robotics
Late / void meta
- Hill Floor 4 (Robotic Factory) — exponential scaling starts here.
- With many void evolutions, skipping straight to Robotics can beat grinding low tiers.
- After Robotics is online, backfill lower tiers with investor cash in seconds.
8. Lemon X
Endgame
- Space Station Lemon X — highest baseline yield; tied to ascension.
- The UFO Key opens a hidden zone with top-value upgrades — see secrets guide.
- Pour endgame capital here; ascension multipliers hit Lemon X hardest.
Managers & automation priority
Each income source has an optional manager. Hire them in this order — a manager on a weak building earns far less than one on a fully upgraded setup.
| Manager | Source | Priority | When to hire |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lily Gumdrop | Lemon Stand | Highest | As early as affordable — first manager priority |
| Lemon Dash Manager | Lemon Dash | High | After maxing delivery fees and vehicle speed |
| Depot Manager | Lemon Depot | Medium–high | After multiple depot multiplier upgrades |
| Trading Manager | Lemon Trading | Medium | Once you understand market timing patterns |
| Labs Manager | Lemon Labs | Medium | When permanent lab upgrades are active |
| Robotics Manager | Lemon Robotics | Late game | After maxing robotics upgrades |
100% offline income
Unlike many idle games that cap offline earnings at 50% or a few hours, Sell Lemons pays your full income rate while logged out — managers keep working at full speed.
Burst-and-sleep loop
- Log in and collect offline cash
- Pour everything into automation and the next tier unlock
- Log out — mid-game staying online adds no math advantage over offline compounding
Void Weather and other live events are the main exception: reinvest actively during those windows if you are online.
Phone offers (Lemon Dash)
- Lump-sum grants — free cash; always accept.
- Haggling offers — counter before accepting; first offer is below maximum.
- Time-limited bonuses — act immediately, then optimize upgrades during the window.
- Conditional deals — read fine print; some lower future payouts.
Once hired, the Lemon Dash Manager handles routine deals automatically.
