Be The Final Boss Beginner Guide
Codes → cheap lineup → Skill Tree → Wave 25.
By Bloxron Editorial Team · Last updated
You’re the Final Boss. Heroes keep coming; your army and Skill Tree have to keep up. First hour: codes, a cheap lineup, Wave 25.
Common mistakes
- Skipping codes, then wondering why you have no Coins
- Parking two dual-slot units before Population is up
- Buying every weapon instead of one early sword + Skill Tree nodes
- Dumping every Soul at the Altar before the frontline can tank
- Burning Altar rolls in Gold Rush instead of waiting for Cursed Moon
- Never sitting on the throne once it gives a combat buff
First session
- Finish the tutorial. Learn placement, the Altar, and where the Codes Board is.
- Redeem every active code. Settings → Codes. Grab noherocanwin and the rest on our codes page — betheboss still tops up Coins. Coins go to the Skill Tree; Souls sit for Altar rolls.
- Build a cheap lineup that doesn’t leak. Iron Skeleton (or Bone Grunt until you get one) up front, Skeleton Archer / Imp Bomber behind. Don’t stack two dual-slot units until Population is up.
- Spend Coins on stuff that sticks. Slot-capped? Population first. Otherwise Unit Damage or Unit Health, then Coin Income, then Boss Attack / Health. After leaks stop, buy one early weapon (Gilded Longsword) before dumping Forge Stones into Armor.
- Hit Wave 25. First checkpoint that matters. After it, look at Shiny Lava Imp / thicker tanks on the minion page before you spam more Souls.
- Play the weather. Gold Rush = farm Coins. Shard Storm = farm shards. Cursed Moon = roll the Altar. Don’t waste mutation rolls during Gold Rush.
Currencies
| Resource | Spend on | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Coins | Skill Tree, weapons, shop | Codes dump these; Gold Rush makes kills pay more |
| Souls | Altar rolls | Don’t spend these like Coins |
| Fusion Shards | Fuse / upgrade units | UPD2 bumped drops; Shard Storm helps |
| Forge Stones | Armor craft / forge (UPD2+) | Codes dump these — save for matching sets on the Skill Tree page |
| Spin Tickets | Reward wheel | Common in codes |
| Boosters | Timed buffs (Coin / Soul / Luck / Attack / Health) | Save for checkpoint bosses |
Early Skill Tree order
Names might differ slightly in your tree UI — match the idea. Full tips on Skill Tree.
| Branch | Priority | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Population | High | Dual-slot units need the slots first |
| Unit Damage | High | Kills happen before the throne |
| Unit Health | High | Keeps the early frontline up |
| Coin Income | High | Pays for later nodes and weapons |
| Boss Attack / Health | High | You’re the backup when stuff leaks |
| Soul Harness / Harvest | Medium+ | Matters once Wave 25 farms feel real |
| Altar / Summon Luck | Medium | After you can survive long enough to roll |
| Castle / Realm / Auto | Later | QoL — not a substitute for unit stats |
Wave checkpoints
| Wave | Meaning |
|---|---|
| 25 | First real gate — dump tutorial fillers |
| 50–75 | Thicker tanks + better weapons |
| 100 | Pricey melee / support tests; lots of runs hitch here |
| 125 | Late DPS (Demon Butcher line) starts deciding clears |
Weather windows
Each weather lasts about five minutes, then roughly ten minutes of nothing. Watch the HUD timer (usually bottom-right). More farm notes on Events.
| Event | Effect | Do this |
|---|---|---|
| Gold Rush | Kill Coins ×1.75 | Fight hard, bank Coins |
| Shard Storm | Shard drop ×1.3 + extra roll | Keep killing for Fusion Shards |
| Cursed Moon | Mutation chance ×2 | Park at the Altar and roll |

FAQ
What’s the real first goal?
Codes in, frontline stable, Wave 25 clear. Fancy rolls can wait.
Buy a weapon early?
Only after you stop leaking. Population and Unit Damage pay more first. Then pick one Coin weapon — Gilded Longsword is the usual early spike — and upgrade that line instead of spreading Coins across the whole shop.
When do I roll the Altar?
When the line can hold — ideally under Cursed Moon. One unit that plugs a hole beats five random gambles.
Can I mix Coin and Soul spending?
Coins = permanence. Souls = army. Keep the piles separate.
Armor / Battlepass?
Update 2 Armor uses Forge Stones (and some Battle Pass pieces). Wait until Wave 25+ leaks are rare, then finish one matching set — Amethyst Gladiator or Emerald Mantle while saving, Void Knight as the long Forge goal, Hellfire Mantle if you own the pass and fight melee. Full priority table is on the Skill Tree page.
