FAQ

What are materials used for in Broken Blade?

Unlocking weapons (weapon pieces), crafting and forging (boss and element materials), and rerolls (Race, Element, Blessing). You need specific materials at each step — they are not optional side loot.

How do you get weapon pieces?

Chests, regular enemy farming, and boss encounters. Sword, Katana, and Buster pieces are separate — you only need the type matching the weapon line you are pursuing.

What is the difference between Elements and boss materials?

Elements (Fire, Thunder, Wind, etc.) are passive buffs from Element Rerolls — see the elements guide. Boss materials (Sacrifice Piece, Moon Piece, Holy Material) are crafting drops that unlock specific weapons like Excalibur, Moon Cut, and Dragon Slayer.

Do utility materials increase combat power?

No direct damage boost. Reroll items change your race, element, or blessing. Boss Key and Boss Coin open encounters that drop crafting materials.
