What this guide is for
Finish the tutorial, roll a Common ant, place it, sell food, buy Egg luck and Egg rolls, then expand doors and hole levels. Match Insect Kingdom studio place 78490532994307 before you start.
Two phases list
Phase one is ant acquisition at the Ant Queen and colony doorways: roll eggs, buy keepers, and place ants so food starts flowing. Phase two is colony expansion at the Sell merchant, upgrade boards, and hole levels: sell food, buy Egg luck and Egg rolls first, then Food value, doors, holes, and Ant speed.
| Phase | Where | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Ant acquisition | Ant Queen podiums and colony doorways | Roll eggs, buy keepers, place ants so food starts flowing |
| Colony expansion | Sell merchant, upgrade boards, and hole levels | Sell food, buy luck/rolls first, then value, doors, holes, and speed |
Your first colony loop
Tutorial, roll, place, sell, Egg luck, Egg rolls, then doors, hole levels, food value, and jelly on ants.
- Finish the tutorial. Complete the short onboarding so Settings and the code box unlock. Learn the Ant Queen, collection crates, and Sell merchant prompts.
- Roll and buy your first ant. Interact with the Ant Queen. The default roll is one Common egg. Buy the ant from its podium when you can afford it.
- Place the ant in a colony doorway. Assign it to the free starter door. Placed ants haul food toward the collection pile.
- Sell food for Cash. Pick up boxes and sell them at the merchant. Do not empty your Cash on upgrades before you can buy the next rolled ant.
- Buy Egg luck and Egg rolls. Spend early Cash on these two boards first. They improve roll quality and roll count while prices are still low.
- Expand doors, hole levels, and food value. Buy Colony expansion for more doorways, Food value for higher sells, and early hole levels on keepers. Apply Speed Jelly to an ant, not the ground.
Controls list
Move with W A S D or the left stick, jump with Space or A, and interact with E or the on-screen prompt at the Ant Queen, Sell merchant, upgrade boards, and Items shop.
| Action | Input |
|---|---|
| Move | W A S D / left stick |
| Jump | Space / A |
| Interact | E / on-screen prompt |
Session checks
Cash reserve for ant buys, rarity filter, jelly on ants, Index claims, and mount skip.
- Keep Cash for ant buys. Rolls are free; the ants on podiums cost Cash. Leave enough after a sell to buy a keeper.
- Prefer rarity and Mutations. Higher rarity raises food value. A mutated hatch beats an unmodified Common on the podium.
- Apply jelly to the ant. Speed Jelly is used on a chosen ant. It does not plant on the floor like a food crate.
- Claim Index milestones. New ants and Mutations fill the Index. Claim one-time rewards when a threshold unlocks.
- Skip early mounts. Mount training consumes the ant forever. Nest teleport already handles most trips.
Early goals list
Hit these four checkpoints in order: place a Common ant in the starter doorway, sell food boxes at the merchant for Cash, buy at least one Egg luck or Egg rolls level, then buy Colony expansion for a second doorway once income covers the door cost.
| Goal | How |
|---|---|
| First placed ant | Buy a Common hatch and fill the starter doorway |
| First Cash sell | Carry food boxes to the Sell merchant |
| First luck or rolls buy | Purchase at least one Egg luck or Egg rolls level |
| Second colony doorway | Buy Colony expansion when income covers the next door |
Mistakes to skip
Empty Cash, early potions, planting jelly on the floor, mount sacrifices, skipped Index claims.
- Spending all Cash on boards before buying the rolled ant.
- Buying expensive Mutation Potions before Egg luck and Egg rolls.
- Trying to plant Speed Jelly on the ground instead of using it on an ant.
- Handing a productive ant to the mount trainer early.
- Ignoring Index milestone claims after new discoveries.
- Leaving rolled podium ants unbought while Cash sits unused.
FAQ
What is the goal of the first session?
Place one ant, sell food for Cash, and buy Egg luck or Egg rolls without stranding a rolled ant on a podium.
Are rolls free?
Yes. Rolling at the Ant Queen is free. Buying the ant that appears costs Cash.
What if I cannot afford the ant I rolled?
Sell more food first. Do not dump the last Cash into an upgrade level you do not need yet.
How do I use Speed Jelly?
Buy it from the Items shop or claim it from early unlocks, then apply it to a placed ant for a timed move-speed boost.
Is there Rebirth?
No Rebirth loop is part of the core colony route. Progress comes from better ants, more doorways, hole levels, and upgrade boards.
