Steal An Egg cover

Beginner Guide

First session: hatch your starter, claim Index traps, unlock the treadmill, steal nearby eggs, and only push farther when your Speed matches the biome gate.

Your first goal is cash flow, not the farthest biome. Hatch what you start with, put pets in pens, claim Index rewards, then save for the treadmill unlock before you chase Lake or Desert eggs.

When you are ready to steal farther out, open the stealing guide for route buffer. Speed gates live on the speed page.

Common mistakes

  • Running to Desert before your Speed matches the gate (you will drop the egg on the way back)
  • Skipping the Pet Index after a new hatch and missing free traps or cash
  • Buying cosmetic trails instead of the highest speed multiplier you can afford
  • Filling every pen slot with weak duplicates instead of selling or fusing them
  • Stealing a huge egg without testing whether you can reach base in time

First session

  1. Hatch your starter egg. Place the egg in your garden and wait for it to hatch. Put the pet in a pen so it starts earning money. A dog is a common starter. Income is low, but it gets things moving.
  2. Open Pet Index and claim. The Index sits on the left side of the screen. Every new pet species you hatch adds an entry. Tap Claim for free rewards. Your first dog usually grants traps you can place during steals.
  3. Grab the free Speed boost. Head to the Free area on the map and finish the like, favorite, and group tasks if they are still offered. The reward is a large Speed jump that makes early Forest runs much easier.
  4. Steal a nearby Forest egg. Watch the map egg reset timer. When eggs refresh, pick a nest close to base, grab the egg, and run back before the chicken guard catches you. Use a trap if the chase is tight.
  5. Save $1,000 for the treadmill. Keep hatching and collecting pen income until you can afford the garden upgrade that unlocks the treadmill. That upgrade is the main gate between early steals and real Speed growth.
  6. Train on the treadmill and buy a trail. AFK on the treadmill to raise Speed, upgrade its level when you can, and open the trail shop for a movement multiplier. Pick the highest speed bonus, not the flashiest look. Divine Trail gives about 14× speed and is what you are working toward.
  7. Push to Lake, then Desert. Lake shows a recommended Speed around 900. Desert asks for about 10,000. If the gate number is higher than your stat, train more or buy a better trail instead of gambling on a long return trip.
  8. Expand pens and fuse duplicates. Upgrade pens when you run out of slots. When you have three of the same pet type, send them to the Fuse machine for a stronger version. Gold variants count toward the same type.

Early priorities

Speed beats distance until your treadmill and trails catch up.

PriorityWhy it matters
Pen incomePays for treadmill, trails, and pen upgrades
Treadmill unlock ($1,000 garden)Turns AFK time into Speed
Index claimsFree traps, cash, and collection progress
Trail multiplierCheaper short-term Speed than skipping tiers
Far biome eggsOnly after your Speed matches the gate readout

FAQ

When should I leave Forest?

After your treadmill is online and your Speed is close to the Lake gate (about 900). Forest eggs are safe practice. Use them to fund upgrades, not to fill every pen forever.

What do traps do?

Place them on the ground during a steal. Guards and other players who step on them get stunned, giving you time to escape with an egg. You can also trigger your own trap, so leave a gap on your exit path.

Should I skip hatch timers with Robux?

Early pets hatch in seconds to a few minutes, so skipping is rarely worth it. Save Robux skips for multi-hour Secret or Eternal eggs when you are actively playing and want the pet right away.

Where does stealing fit in?

Stealing is how you get better eggs than your starter. Once pens and treadmill are rolling, read the stealing guide for route buffer, night resets, and PvP.
