Stealing Guide
Plan the run, grab the egg, survive the chase, and get back to your garden before a guard or another player drops it.

Grabbing the egg is the easy part. Getting it back to your garden is where Speed and route knowledge matter. Guards chase, big eggs slow you down, and other players can bat you to drop what you are carrying.

Steal flow
- Scout the nest. From base, note the guardian, distance, and your return path. Sleeping guards (common near Lake) let you grab without a chase. Wait for the wake-up timing if you need a clean exit.
- Measure one-way time. Run to the nest once without stealing. Add extra seconds for grab animation, weight slowdown on large eggs, and a trap placement if you expect a chase.
- Check the reset. Map eggs refresh on a roughly five-minute loop, then the field closes for about 13 seconds before the next batch. In-game day/night also swaps on a shorter cycle (~4.5 minutes) and can wipe field eggs at night. Camp the server reset cue, not a timer from another lobby.
- Take the egg and move. Pick up the egg and start your return immediately. Do not stop to fight unless you are sure you can still make it. If the guardian catches you inside its own biome, the egg usually returns to that nest. If you get caught closer to base in an earlier biome, the egg can stay on the ground there so you can try again without a full reset.
- Use traps and the bat. Drop a trap behind you when a guard or player is closing in. The bat lets you hit other carriers, and the same rule applies to you. Traps from Index rewards are limited, so save them for choke points.
- Deliver to the garden. The steal only counts when the egg lands in your base garden. Hatch it there or hold it for a timed skip. Either way, leave a free pen slot if you expect a new pet.
Spawn times and timers
Players search "spawn times" for three different things. Mixing them up is how you miss a reset or trust a clock that was never official.

Targets and tricks
- Golden eggs. Lake can spawn golden eggs that hatch into strong early pets. Same rules as any steal: confirm your Speed covers the round trip.
- Egg weight. Larger eggs apply a movement penalty while you carry them. A Secret-sized egg from Volcano or Cosmic needs more buffer than a Forest common. Practical Speed targets by weight class are on the speed page.
- Where a dropped egg lands. Caught in the guardian's own biome: egg goes back to the nest. Caught after you already crossed into a closer biome: the egg can sit where you fell, so a second grab is often shorter than starting over at the nest.
- Server hop. Seven players per server means crowded Cosmic camps. Hop servers to find fewer rivals when you are timing a reset spawn.
- Night reset. When day turns to night, field eggs can wipe. Plan steals before the swap or be ready to sprint right after fresh spawns. Some runs are blocked at night, wait for day if the zone will not let you in.
- Chat alerts. Secret and other high-value eggs often get called out in server chat when they land. On reset, scan chat first, then check the biomes you can actually reach.
- Cherry Blossom steals. Mother Crane hits hard and can knock you back toward Abyss Ocean if you are under-geared. The 2.5B gate is entry only, plan closer to 3.5B Speed on the round trip for Crane eggs.
- Infested eggs (Hungry Frog archive). During Hungry Frog (Aug 29 to Sep 5, 2026), purple parasites marked infested hauls. You stole the egg, removed the parasite at base, and fed it to the frog. Snow through Titan Temple could roll those spawns after resets.
- Titan Temple steals. Gorilla King guards the eleventh biome past Cherry Blossom. The gate readout is about 7B Speed; build margin before you grab zone eggs on the return trip.
- Angels & Demons steals. Night-only twelfth biome at about 20B Speed. Check whether the night rolled Angels, Demons, or Merged before you commit. Heavier eggs need more than the gate; practical targets are on the speed page.
- Reset positioning. Stand at the edge of the best biome you can survive during the 13-second map closeout. Rare eggs are not limited to late zones, a Secret callout in Forest is still worth sprinting if your Speed covers the return.

How to hunt Secret Eggs
Secret Eggs do not spawn on a fixed timer you can set from another server. They appear when the map resets, and the game often announces the biome in server chat. Any zone can roll one, including Forest, so low-Speed players still have a real shot.
- Train on the treadmill until your Speed can reach the biomes you plan to check after a reset
- During the ~13-second map closeout, stand at the edge of the best biome you can survive, not at base
- When eggs respawn, read server chat first for a Secret callout naming the egg and biome
- Sprint to the named zone immediately. Prioritize eggs you can return with, not just the farthest nest
- Press E to pick up the egg and run back before the guard or a faster player drops you
- Place the egg in your garden. Secret hatches often take hours; offline hatch still runs
- If your lobby has faster rivals, server hop to a quieter server before the next reset
- Repeat every reset cycle. Missing chat during the first ten seconds costs most Secret attempts
Admin Abuse: catching rare eggs on reset
Admin Abuse is a developer-run window before major Saturday updates. Servers get stacked Egg Luck, Speed, and cash multipliers, and resets can drop multiple Secret or Eternal eggs at once. Join early, train during the boost, then race reset announcements.
- Join a server 15–20 minutes before the posted Admin Abuse start (usually Saturday morning US time)
- Clear pen slots so a rare hatch has somewhere to land
- AFK on the treadmill during the boost to raise Speed faster than normal training
- Keep unhatched eggs in inventory if a luck multiplier goes live
- Watch for All Egg Reset notices that name the egg and biome, then sprint immediately
- Prioritize the rarest egg on the announcement, then loop back for secondary spawns
- If Monster Obby opens, farm wins for the top-three Drill Egg (Drilla). Clear pens first

Angels & Demons steals
Angels & Demons is the twelfth biome. It only appears at night and needs about 20B Speed on the gate. Each night it rolls Angels (Light pets), Demons (Darkness pets), or a rare Merged form with both egg pools plus a luck boost.
- Train to roughly 20B Speed before you commit. The gate applies to Angels, Demons, and Merged alike
- Wait for in-game night. The zone is closed during day
- Check which variant spawned before you steal. Angels and Demons each keep their own eight-pet Index lines
- If Merged is up, prioritize eggs while the luck bonus is live instead of saving the run for later
- Guardians change with the variant. Build return buffer the same way you would for Titan Temple
A Secret Fusion Shrine is behind the waterfall inside Angels & Demons. Eligible Eternal or Divine Light and Dark pets from this biome go on the pedestals and return a Fusion Egg for your pens.
During the Sep 12–13 launch window, a limited Light vs Dark team event ran alongside the biome. Players picked a side, collected rings on a timer, and chased milestone rewards. That ring loop is archive unless it returns in a later Admin Abuse.

Hungry Frog event (ended)
Hungry Frog ran Aug 29 to Sep 5, 2026. Field eggs could spawn with purple parasites. You stole the egg, stripped the parasite at your garden, and fed five parasites to the Hungry Frog for one Monster Chest. Keep this section as an archive if the loop returns later.
- After a map reset, scan mid and late biomes for eggs with purple parasites on the shell
- Steal the infested egg and sprint home like any other haul
- At your garden, remove the parasite from the egg before you hatch or store it
- Carry each parasite to the Hungry Frog and feed it
- Feed five parasites total to fill the meter and receive one Monster Chest
- Open the chest for timed boosts, a Flyswatter, a Monstrous Egg roll, or the limited Monstrous mutation on Titan Temple pets

FAQ
Can other players steal from me?
Yes. The official description says other players can hit you and take the egg you are carrying. Once you leave the early biomes, treat every return trip as PvP.
What happens if a guard catches me?
You lose the egg you were carrying. Caught inside that guardian's biome, the egg usually returns to the nest. Caught after you already reached a closer biome, it can stay on the ground there for a shorter second attempt. Traps and Speed cut how often this happens.
Should I steal from other players' bases?
Player-base steals become relevant later. Focus on map guardians until your Speed and pen income are stable, since map eggs are safer to practice on.
How many traps can I carry?
Inventory holds a small number of traps at once. Spend Index rewards before a planned rare run so you have slots free.
Is there one universal spawn timer?
No. Map resets, rare-egg cadence, and named forecasts are different clocks. Follow the reset in your lobby, then decide if a forecast is worth camping.
Can Secret Eggs spawn in early biomes?
Yes. High-value and Secret eggs are not locked to Cosmic or Cherry Blossom. A Secret callout in Forest or Lake is worth sprinting if your Speed covers the return.
How do I know when to move?
Follow the All Egg Reset cue in your lobby, then check chat for a named spawn. There is no universal clock synced across servers.
What if I am too slow for the announced biome?
Skip that reset or server hop. Chasing a Cosmic Secret at Desert Speed wastes the window and feeds faster players.
When is Admin Abuse?
So far it has run before each major Saturday update, often around 8:00 AM PT / 11:00 AM ET. Treat that as a pattern until more dates show in-game.
Does Admin Abuse add codes?
No. Admin Abuse windows have added biomes, boosted spawns, and limited events such as Hungry Frog, but no redeem menu or promo strings.
When is Angels & Demons open?
Only at night. During the day the zone stays closed even if you already have 20B Speed.
What is the Merged biome?
A rare night roll where Angels and Demons share the same map. Both egg pools appear and a luck bonus is active while it lasts. Steal while it is up.
Which pets can enter the Fusion Shrine?
Eternal or Divine pets from this biome's Light or Dark lines: Pegasus, ArchAngel, Skeleton Horse, and World Burner. Pets from Forest through Titan Temple do not qualify.
Do I need both sides to finish the Index?
Yes. Eight Light pets and eight Darkness pets means logging in across multiple nights until you have seen both variants (or a Merged night).
Where did infested eggs spawn?
During Hungry Frog they could appear after map resets in Snow, Volcano, Abyss Ocean, Prehistoric, Cosmic, Cherry Blossom, and Titan Temple. Look for purple parasites on the egg model.
Do I hatch infested eggs?
Remove the parasite at base first. The event wanted the parasite fed to the Hungry Frog, not the infested egg hatched for a normal pet.
What is in a Monster Chest?
Short boosts to Speed, egg growth, or treadmill training, plus tools like a Flyswatter. Rare rolls could grant a Monstrous Egg or the limited Monstrous mutation on Titan Temple pets. See the odds table on this page.
Is Hungry Frog still live?
No. The window ran Aug 29 to Sep 5, 2026 and ended when the Rifts update went live. Monstrous mutations already on pets stay on those pets.
