Each room type works differently — pick the right supply and avoid killing the patient by mistake.

After intake, patients wait in assigned rooms. Each room type runs a different mini-game before you hand over hallway stock from Items. Wrong medicine kills the case and hurts your score; accidental anomaly deaths do not.

Rooms 1–5 (basic)
- DNA scanner runs ~9–10 s by default; DNA Analysis Upgrade shaves 4.5 s.
- Any hallway item order works once tests are done.
- Wrong item kills the patient and hurts your score.
- Killing a hidden anomaly with the wrong item does not cost you points.
- Recovery finishes off-screen — patient exits alone.
Room 6 (X-Ray)
- Repeat the flashing square order with M1; one mistake resets the pattern.
- Afterwards, treat like a basic room.
Room 7 (heart monitor)
- Tap white markers; skull icons shave the heart meter but are not instant fails.
- Hit 100%, complete the machine prompts, then hand over the hallway item like a basic room.
Room 8 (surgery)
- Timer begins on first patient interaction; you cannot leave mid-case.
- Match on-screen tool icons from the in-room tray.
- Final triple-item step ignores order but still punishes wrong items.
- Tentacle Mass event: HUD may read a monster emerged in Room 8; Sanity drains while you operate — finish the puzzle within 45 s; guns and tasers fail the patient.
- Surgery-only tools (Scalpel, Scissors, Organ, Transplant) have no hallway use.
