Common first-session mistakes
- Running abstraction triggers in a bright crowd before you know how fast Sanity falls.
- Assuming a closed private room is safe forever — doorbells and Key Holders can interrupt mid-drain.
- Switching between resist and abstract goals mid-session without regrouping on the central floor.
- Attempting the Caine chat Cellar route solo on day one — that path needs a second player.
First session
- Join the correct experience. Make sure you are in Experience Abstraction by Pawlo's Studio (pawlooz), not a similarly named clone.
- Stabilize in a bright social area. Use the open ground-floor / central bright space as your first regroup point. Stay with normal players while you learn the layout.
- Decide your goal for this session. Stay normal, abstract on purpose, talk to AI Caine, or later attempt a Cellar banish with a partner. Pick one goal before testing Sanity risks.
- If you stay normal. Follow the resist loop on How to Abstract (crowd, lights, distance from abstracted players).
- If you abstract on purpose. Open How to Abstract and pick one condition. Private-room is the quietest solo option; the hallway-end bathroom is another quiet pocket after Update 3.

Can I play solo?
Yes for exploring and testing abstraction conditions. The Caine chat Cellar route needs a second player. AI Caine talk and crashout can still hit you in a populated server.
Do I need codes to start?
No. There is no redeem-code system for progression right now.
How do I stay safe while I learn the map?
Stay bright, stay with normal players, keep distance from abstracted avatars, and skip insulting AI Caine so you do not trigger crashout.
When should I try Caine or the Cellar?
After you can finish one abstraction on purpose and you have a partner. Use Caine & Cellar for the chat steps.
