Collection Index
Backpack space grows from Index claims, not a shop purchase — new material types count; duplicates do not.
By Bloxron Editorial Team · Last updated

Collection Index logs distinct material types you have picked up. Hitting a milestone unlocks a chest that adds one backpack slot — storage grows this way, not from a shop purchase. If the bag caps every run, fix Index before pouring coins into the next wand buy or armor multiplier.
What Index tracks
- Distinct discoveries — new material types count; piles of the same do not
- Milestone lines use the Complete X/Y to get +1 pattern (exact X/Y values come from the Index UI)
- Each claimed chest grants +1 backpack slot
- Some targets may need more than raw drops (for example a new Alchemy brew) — trust the Index line over a guessed material list
- For when Index fits in a first hour, see the beginner session order
Increase backpack storage
Check the target
Open Index from the hub (often the book icon on the left menu). Note Currently Collected and the milestone line (format: Complete X/Y to get +1) near the reward chest.
Hunt new types
Enter the dungeon, walk onto drops, and interact to pick them up. Log material types you have not seen yet — missing entries may show as ???.
Skip duplicates
Only new types count — copies of known materials do not move the milestone.
Claim the chest
Return to the hub, open Index, and use Click to claim when the chest shows +1.
Confirm the slot
Watch for the backpack storage increased message, then chase the next milestone.
After a successful claim
- Index often opens from the book control on the left menu — confirm the icon on your build
- Targets sit above the reward chest in the Index menu
- Claim from the chest control in Index (bottom-right of that panel)
- A successful claim shows “Backpack storage increased by 1”
- Capacity ticks up one slot (for example 0/4 → 0/5) and the next target replaces the old one
Why the chest will not claim
- Chest stays locked until the distinct-type count hits the listed target
- Duplicates of materials you already logged do not move the count
- Some milestones may need discoveries beyond raw drops (for example a new brew) — read the Index line
- Push later dungeon stages when early stages stop dropping new types
Deeper stages
Later stages often drop material types early floors never show. Push deeper when the early loop stops giving new Index entries — drop rates are not listed as a fixed sheet on this page.
